PROVINCETOWN ART COMMISSION‑ Meeting Dec. 3,2001

CONVENED‑ 11:00 am

MEMBERS PRESENT‑ Neva Hansen, Peggy Prichett, Diane Shumway, Constance Black, Georgia Coxe, excused Terry Catalano

BUDGET‑ Neva and Peggy met with the accountants and straiahtened out

how much money we have available. At this point we have appox. $8,700 left from

last year's budget as well as a revolving fund of 5000 from the sale of posters. Also there is $3,750 insurance money to repair the tourist bronze.

We discussed how to spend balance before fiscal year ends. It was

suggested that Georgia offer Gilbert Franklin $500.00 for looking over

bronzes. We also decided that we could pay for creating the data base.

Georgia's son, Donald is interested in the job. Georgia will get his resume.

We can also have Jim Zimmerman started on photography.

The final budget proposal came to $14,200.00.

Neva moved to approve the budget for 2003. Connie seconded. Motion

passes unanimously.

Chairman‑ Neva has resigned from the commission effective December 30. Connie Black offered to fill in as temporary chairman for at least six months. Diane Shumway offered to be clerk and take minutes.

NEXT MEETING‑ December 19 at 3pm at town hall.
