Neva announced that we
are scheduled to meet with Board of Selectmen on June 11 at 7 pm to discuss our
five year goals.
We met with Stefan
Nofeld, town clerk, and Bruce Miller, town accountant, to discuss sale of
posters. Bruce Miller informed the
commission that the state would require a sales tax even though it is declared
a nonprofit. It was decided to
have the town extract the amount from the present price.
Poster Project: The rest of the meeting was devoted to
discussion of the poster project.
The posters have arrived as well as 500 shipping tubes and are stored on
the bottom floor. Peggy has
arranged for selling them on two weekends at the fire station next to town
hall. We started to sign up
members to man the place. The
posters came out very well. We
have to work out a method for packing and shipping as well as contacting
possible buyers.
