Meeting convened at 10:10 am

Members present:  Neva Hansen, Constance Black, Diane Shumway, Peggy Prichett, absent Peter Garza

Minutes of January 16, ’01 read and amended.  Peggy Prichett moved to accept.  Accepted unanimously.

Projector  Peggy reported on prices for slide projectors.  Connie made a motion that Peggy order a projector through the town.  Neva seconded the motion.  Vote was unanimous.

Membership  Peggy asked about status of Peter Garza’s membership since he has not been to several meetings.  Neva explained that Peter has been going through house sales etc and that he expects to attend as soon as his life stabilizes.  Since we are lacking one member we decided that we should be on the look out for a new mwmber.

Meeting with Stefan Nofeld  Stefan reported that he has asked the DPW to remove shelf in Judge Welsh Meeting room so that we can hang a painting in that space.  We discussed the possible move of the library into the Heritage Museum.  Stefan said that there would be a lot of walls in the new library for art work.  He suggested that we give support at town meeting to the library proposal.  We discussed the possible use of the present library for archives, art storage and a first floor space for a showcase of town owned art.  Also discussed were plans for the merger of the Heritage Museum with the Pilgrim Monument Assoc.  Bids are out to find a consultant to study the plan.

Calender  Peggy will work on getting art work from Heritage Museum to photograph.  Diane will look into a printer in New Hampshire.

Five Year Plan  The selectmen would like to have a plan for the next five years submitted by the boards.  Peggy suggested having a meeting to discuss this specifically.

Hanging  Diane suggested moving to rehang work sometime during February or March.  Neva will try to make arrangements with Peter Macara.

Time of meetings Connie asked if future meetings could be held later in the day.  It was decided to try 4 pm in the future.

Meeting adjourned at  11:30 am
