Minutes of Nov. 20, ‘00 read and
amended. Peggy Prichett moved to accept. Neva Hansen seconded. Vote was unanimous.
Heritage Museum Board of Trustees Peggy Prichett reported that she has
been approved and sworn in to the board.
She will be our liason at this time of transition. She also reported that the Monument
Museum have plans to completely reorganize their structure so that they can
possibly combine their organization with the Heritage Museum.
Library Neva gave members copies of the latest plans for the library
in the Heritage Museum building.
It includes possible exhibition space. We discussed our hopes to work with the town to insure safe
storage and exhibition of the collection.
Insurance Neva has asked the town for a new
appraisal of the collection for insurance purposes. Steven Snow, a licensed appraiser, will do the work.
Budget The commission will be meeting with the Board of
Selectmen on January 18 at 5:30 pm to discuss the budget.
Annual Report The annual report is due on Friday, January 12. The commission reviewed Neva’s
notes. Connie Black will try to
type up a draft from the notes.
Installation of work in town buildings Neva reported that work has been
installed in the Council On Aging offices and the DPW office. The Assessors office at town hall has
requested several pieces which will be hung this month. Neva has plans to install at least 30
more pieces in town hall offices.
We are hoping to have this done before town meeting so that we can show
the town the new exhibition. Neva
has received 100 security hangers for this work.
Slide shows Connie Black hopes to arrange another slide show of the
collection at her home early in February.
