TOWN MANAGER’S CONFERENCE ROOM

NOVEMBER 18, 2008

Chairman Stephen Borkowski convened the meeting at 3:30 p.m. noting the following attendees:

Members present: Stephen Borkowski, Chairperson; James Bakker; Georgia Coxe; Erna Partoll; Napi Van Dereck

The Chair recognized the Sharon Lynn, Town Manager and she updated the Commission on the recent closing of Town Hall and the state of the security at the “trailers”. Various members of the Commission expressed concern regarding leaving the large works in the now closed Town Hall during construction and thru the winter with minimal heat and security issues were expressed concern over. It was proposed that the works would be safest and still highly visible if moved to the Monument Museum during renovations.

A motion was made to move the large works 4 in all, to the Pilgrim Monument for exhibition until such time they could be returned to Town Hall following renovations.

The members discussed the budget request for the next fiscal year, due to be presented to the Town Manager and Board of Selectmen. It was determined that given the accelerated program of conservation we could potentially reduce the current budget by over 30% for the following fiscal year.

A motion was made to request a budget of $9,780.00 for 2010 fiscal year..
