Chairman’s report

A current report with expenditures to date was circulated.  In addition the chair discussed the 4 paintings currently in conservation and the status of the framing of the Edwin Dickinson work.  It was noted that under the community program with the Council on Aging, Elspeth and Tony Vevers would like to work on the artists’ biographies for the handout at the Library, the group enthusiastically endorsed such an idea and steps will be taken to implement this.  The sales of posters recently had been brisk and the Chair outlined the efforts of the Assistant Town Clerk in selling posters.  The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston had requested use of a Ross Moffett work for a catalogue essay outlining Edward Hopper’s time on the Cape, this request was enthusiastically received and will be processed by the Chair with the help of the Collections Manager.
