I. LOGAN AIRPORT PEAK PERIOD
PRICING UPDATE
We
are not an essential service airport but authorities are working on getting a
special exemption for only some flights, not all for us. There is no definite info at this point but
authorities recognized us and will try to work with us.
II. RUNWAY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
UPDATE
The
project is done, awaiting only approvals.
All seems okay.
III. PARKING APRON/SECURITY
IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT UPDATE
Construction
was completed by 15 May 2004. A final
inspection was held with the FAA, MAC, and the contractor on 17 May. Punch list items noted at the final
inspection are being completed and the project will be closed out by 30 June
2004. Despite difficult working
conditions when the project started, the project was completed slightly ahead
of schedule and will be under budget.
IV. AIRPORT MASTER PLAN UPDATE
The
final Scope of Work, project schedule and the fee estimate has been submitted
to the FAA and MAC. The airport is
waiting for the required independent cost estimate, expected this week, in
order to complete the FAA Grant application process. The environmental subcontractor has requested authorization from
FAA to do habitat fieldwork prior to the Grant award. We are waiting for their cost estimate for that work, prior to
sending the request to MAC and FAA.
