Rose Dorothea The Schooner
Facts:
-Indianhead schooner designed by Tom McManus and built at the Tarr & James Yard at Essex, Massachusetts in 1905 at a cost of $15,000 dollars.
-Built for Captain Marion Perry for use as a Grand Banks fishing schooner.
- Sunk during World War I by a German submarine.
-108.7 feet in length, weighed 108 tons, 26 member crew.
- Captain Marion Perry named the Rose Dorothea after his beautiful wife.
