Rose Dorothea The Fishermens Cup - 1907

Facts:
- Provincetown-based Rose Dorothea, a fishing Schooner that was captained by Capt. Marion Perry, won The Fishermens Cup - Massachusetts Bay - 1907.
- Held in Boston, Massachusetts in August of 1907. Thirty-nine mile course was laid from Thieves Ledge, off Boston Light - to Davis Ledge, off Minot's Light - to Eastern Point, Gloucester and back to Boston.
- $650 first prize. A huge loving cup was offered by Sir Thomas Lipton (a great yachting enthusiast). The Lipton Cup was valued at $5,000.
