Regulations for Use of Bas Relief Park Adopted
The Provincetown Board of Selectmen held a public hearing on Tuesday, May 27, 2003 at Provincetown Town Hall and then and there adopted regulations for use of the Bas Relief Park. Click for complete details.

Library awarded $1.87-million construction grant. The Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners announced that the Provincetown Public Library will receive a grant of $1,878,456 for its construction project. The MBLC announced a total of ten projects for funding in the current round. Click for Details.

2001 By-law Amendments Approved. On July 17, 2001, the Massachusetts Attorney General approved amendments to Provincetown General By-laws and Zoning By-laws as approved by the April 2, 2001Annual Town Meeting. Note: The ban of Personal Water Craft (PWCs) approved by ATM Article 26 does not take effect unless and until the Town also receives the approval of the Director of the Division of Law Enforcement, of the Commonwealth's Department of Fisheries, Wildlife & Environmental Law Enforcement. Cape End Manor awarded $571,716 grant. The Massachusetts Department of Public Health's Division of Health Care Finance and Policy has awarded the Town-owned Cape End Manor Nursing Home a one-time grant of $571,716. The Division awarded a total of $8 million in one-time grants to non-profit providers of elder care services, as authorized by Chapter 236 of the Acts 2000. Click for details.

Town acquires Locke Property The Town of Provincetown acquired ownership of the 7.92-acre Locke Property a/k/a Whistle Path Woods on Friday, June 15, 2001. The Conservation Commission will hold the property for conservation and passive recreation purposes. The $1.48-million purchase price was met by $752,000 in Land Bank funds from property taxpayers, a $250,000 grant from the Massachusetts Division of Conservation Services and the National Park Service, and $478,000 in other grants and donations raised by the Provincetown Conservation Trust-- including $187,000 from L.Knife & Son, Inc. and the Sheehan Family Foundation.

Art Commission Produces The Four Seasons The Provincetown Art Commission has released the first Limited Editions of posters representing paintings by Provincetown artists. This Limited Edition consist of a four-poster set representing The Four Seasons. These extraordinary, never before published reproductions of paintings are from the Town of Provincetown's remarkable Art Collection. The proceeds from the sale of The Four Seasons will be used to finance the on-going restoration and conservation efforts of the Provincetown Art Commission.
