Emergency
Plan Working Group Formed: The
goal of the working group is to develop and implement comprehensive
response plans that are effective and efficient in addressing human
and/or natural threats to the public health and safety of the Provincetown
community. Main objectives of the working group include ensuring
collaboration between government and the community in creation and
execution of response plans, and ensuring that the government and
community infrastructure meets the needs and capacity required for
an adequate response to an emergency situation.

How Prepared Are You? To
prepare for the unknown, each home should have a 72-Hour
Disaster Survival Kit. You will need to pack some essential
items to help you and your family to survive whether you stay at
home or seek other shelter during a disaster. Ensure a minimum of
three days (72 hours) supply for each person. Print
out a list of essential items and prepare yourself and your
family today. Make sure to develop a Pet
Plan for Pets.
Hurricane Season:
Hurricanes are more prevalent during August, September and October,
with the month of September being the time when the largest number
have wreaked havoc in Massachusetts. Read

Power Outages:
The Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) provides safety
tips when experiencing a possible power outage. See
