Chris Pappas, Open the Door/Access the World:
Have
contacted and/or met with many individuals and organizations and will continue
to do so over the next 2 weeks including outside organizations. Everyone agrees
need to work together, need to streamline, need to educate businesses about the
benefits of collaboration, so far no desire for another membership
organization, rather get existing to work together. Expect to continue
evaluations and have draft report with recommendations and options by end of
November - beginning of December. Present draft at 12/7 meeting. Discussion followed about what type of
presentation [and when] should be done with the broader community. Discussion
about goal is to get objective recommendations and options and that everyone
should leave turf at the door.
Streetscapes: Streetprint presentation: Vendor
available to make presentation to interested parties on asphalt option – some
thought it may be premature until we are discussing entire project, others
thought might generate food for thought. Acting Assistant Town Manager to
e-mail potential dates and gage response.
Community Forum:
State Committee on Tourism, Arts and Cultural Development will be hosting a
community forum in Provincetown Town Hall on Monday, November 21, 2005, 9:30 am
– 12:30 pm to be followed by site visits in the afternoon. Purpose of meeting
is for the State to obtain public input from everyone about the importance of
tourism, art, and cultural development, to identify needs, etc. The EDC is
coordinating with staff and VSB presentations and outreach. Very important to
have a good turn out.
