Elizabeth Gabriel Brooke moved that the Town vote to establish a standing committee of the Town to be known as the “Committee for Animal Welfare” to be comprised of five members appointed by the Board Selectmen for three‑year overlapping terms so arranged that the terms of at least one member shall expire each year. It shall be the mission of the Committee for Animal Welfare to advise the Board of Selectmen on matters pertaining to the welfare of animals in the Town of Provincetown, and to develop, coordinate and implement a plan addressing concerns of both wild and domestic animals in our community.
