Light Compact -
Provincetown Representative
The Provincetown Board of Selectmen is seeking applications
for the Town of Provincetown’s
representatives on the Cape Light Compact
Governing Board, which meets on the second Wednesday of every month at the
Superior Courthouse in Barnstable. Volunteer position, although mileage is
reimbursable. The Cape
Light Compact is a regional services organization made up of
all 21 towns of Cape Cod and Martha's
Vineyard, and Barnstable
and Dukes counties. The purpose of the Compact is to represent and
protect consumer interests in a restructured utility industry. The
Compact operates the regional energy efficiency program and works with the
combined buying power of the region's 197,000 electric consumers to negotiate
for lower cost electricity and other public benefits. More information is
