Priorities
v
16
sites initially identified. The consultant provided a matrix for evaluating
these sites that looks at site control, size, wetlands, proximity to sewer,
zoning district, proximity to fragile resources. The goal is to perform a
preliminary evaluation, set priorities for further exploration, identify
potential number of units, and identify key challenges to further development.
Gary Delius is mapping the proposed sites and will provide something to the
Work Group in advance of the October 19th Meeting.
v
The
key regulatory issues that can be worked with are height, density, and
water/sewer capacity. Dave Krohn will look into specific initiatives needed to
streamline community housing efforts and provide something to the Work Group in
advance of the October 19th Meeting.
v
We
didn’t get to talk about this.

Other
Possible Actions
v
The
Work Group questioned whether to focus on already identified sites that were
already clearly in the pipeline.
v
Not
necessarily just a matter of air rights. It may be possible to build down or to
create a parking ramp and consolidate areas in order to utilize adjoining
properties. The back side of Desouta lot is such an example
