[ARCHIVED] Bas Relief and Park Restoration

Bas Relief Construction Sign

In December 2016, the Town completed a Master Conservation Plan for the restoration of the Bas Relief and Park as a cornerstone piece for the commemoration of 2020. Town Meeting approved funds in 2018 for the project which began in the spring of 2019. In 2019, the Town of Provincetown put out to bid the restoration of the Bas Relief and Park. The contract was awarded to Coastal Land Design. Phase 1 included the restoration of the Cyrus Dallin bronze tablet of the signing of the Mayflower Compact in Provincetown Harbor and the granite structure surrounding it.

Phase 2 will begin in the fall and will include realigning the sidewalk, new site furnishings, and landscaping. The work is slated to be completed by the winter of 2019.

Please see the following progress photos throughout the restoration process.  The work is slated to be completed by the winter of 2019.
