[ARCHIVED] Recycling Information

All trash and recycling left out for pick-up must be covered. All recycling must be loose in recycling barrels, with no plastic bags of any kind, not even clear bags. Any recycling placed in bags will not be picked up.

Bagged recycling that is put into the recycling stream, either at curbside or at the Transfer Station, contaminates the entire load of recycling, costing the town a significant fine.

As of 2019, plastic straws are prohibited and polystyrene is banned with a few specific exemptions. For more details, contact the Board of Health.
