[ARCHIVED] Assessors’ Office to Conduct Real Property Inspections

Beginning in July 2015, the Provincetown Assessors’ Office will be conducting their annual Property inspections. The inspectors will be focusing on properties with open building permits, properties that sold in calendar years 2014 & 2015 and properties that have not been inspected within the last seven years. The Massachusetts Department of Revenue requires that the Town regularly inventory every property as part of the assessment evaluation process. This process includes an on-site review and description of the interior and exterior of all buildings. Inspections will occur Monday-Saturday from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM over the course of the summer and fall. The entire inspection per property generally takes 15-20 minutes. Your cooperation in assisting the Assessors’ Office in this process is very much appreciated. For more information, please call the Assessor’s Office at (508) 487-7017 M-TH 8 AM to 5 PM; Friday 8 AM to 12 Noon or email: sfahle@provincetown-ma.gov.
