[ARCHIVED] Provincetown Select Board Adopts FY2023 Town Wide Goals

Town Manager Alex B. Morse announced that the Provincetown Select Board adopted 11 Town Wide Goals for FY2023 at its September 12, 2022 Select Board Meeting.

“These Town Wide Goals reflect not only our priorities as a Select Board, but as a community,” said David Abramson, Chair of the Provincetown Select Board. “There is important work to be done in many key areas, particularly housing, and I look forward to everyone’s partnership in helping us accomplish our goals and objectives.”

Provincetown's FY2023 Town Wide Goals focus on government operations, housing, public ways and parking, Town finances, sewer, public facilities, diversity, equity, and inclusion, planning, community engagement and Town communications, climate resiliency, and support for public health and mental health programming. Each of the 11 Town Wide Goals have specific objectives attached to them to help guide policy development and decision making.

“I look forward to working with Town staff, Board and Commission members, and our residents and businesses to achieve these goals,” said Town Manager Alex B. Morse. “With the support of the Select Board, I believe we can make significant progress in all of these important areas.”

The annual adoption of Town Wide policy goals by the Select Board is a focal point for the Town as these goals are translated into objectives to be achieved by the Town Administration in the coming fiscal year.
