Provincetown Select Board Economic Stabilization and Sustainability Subcommittee
Invites Town Residents to Participate in COVID-19 Impact Conversations
Provincetown, MA: In the late fall of 2020, the Provincetown Select Board voted to create an Economic Stabilization and Sustainability Subcommittee (ES&S). The Subcommittee reports to the Select Board with ideas and proposals as the Town and our residents confront many challenges: past, present and future. One such challenge is the Provincetown economy.
Building off of the Town’s past surveys and existing engagement network, the ES&S community outreach working group has initiated the process of reaching out to the community to collect feedback on COVID-19 health and economic impacts, as well as any recommendations for short- and long-term economic stabilization strategies. During this process, the outreach team will engage with local organizations, business owners, workers, and individual community members to learn about their overall experience during the COVID-19 crisis, as well as any subsequent financial and quality of life impacts.
The working group invites community members to participate in one-on-one interviews by emailing Erin Ellis by Sunday, May 2nd, at eellis@provincetown-ma.gov. You will be contacted by a member of the ESSC outreach working group to schedule a conversation. Please provide us with as much feedback as you are interested in sharing, understanding that all the names of participants will be confidential.
As a stakeholder in the ongoing economic success of the Town of Provincetown, we thank you in advance for your participation.
